When I joined Clifford Chance in 2002 it seemed like the best possible option to build my career as a lawyer. I foresaw there being an international atmosphere, since the selection process included an interview and practical cases in English, there were offices in many countries and there were prestigious lawyers devoted to excellence and legal rigour, working on the most complex cases with top-tier Spanish and international clients.

Furthermore, the firm could boast laudable flexibility, with a horizontal structure lacking the hierarchical rigidity of other structures, a strong sense of team spirit and a clear system of meritocracy - it provided all the means necessary to allow you to further your career as a lawyer.

This was confirmed to me from the very first moment, as I participated in transactions that I'd previously followed in the press. The challenge has been constant, and I have enjoyed it in the best environment possible: as part of an unequalled team, generous in every sense of the word, and where excellence comes naturally and everyone gives their all with colleagues and clients around the world.

Almost 20 years later I still consider myself lucky to have joined Clifford Chance. These principles and rules, true signs of identity, have not only been maintained; they continue to be adapted each day to continue improving and thus build strong relationships of trust with both colleagues and clients. It is still the best place to build your career as a lawyer.
