Learn from experts

Our trainers will generally be professionals from the relevant legal, academic or business arena, but some will be partners, senior lawyers or business professionals from Clifford Chance itself.

Every year, several Counsel from the Paris office join senior colleagues from other offices within the firm's network to complete an innovative programme entitled "Broadening Business Perspectives", organised in partnership with the prestigious business school, INSEAD.

Continuous learning

While more general technical training for lawyers is provided by The Academy through the practice areas on a regional and global basis, the practice areas in Paris organise locally accredited legal training to allow lawyers to further enhance their legal knowledge and to meet their Paris Bar continuous education obligations.

Business skills courses for both lawyers and business professionals are integrated within the applicable competency framework to ensure that all our people, at every level of development and stage in their careers, have the opportunity to reach the same standards of skills and knowledge, no matter in which office they work.

Secondment opportunities for associates at Clifford Chance

We value our global reach and range of resources across five continents; our European secondment exchange programme offers associates the chance to drive collaboration across markets, practice areas, regions and countries. We aim to build agile teams with the skills, capabilities and mindset to win and confidently deliver complex mandates with the world's leading businesses.

Available to junior to mid-level associates in Europe (including London) who would like to take a short-term secondment (four-month maximum) to another European office.

Antitrust Secondment Exchange Programme

We have a global network of over 160 antitrust lawyers covers all the key hubs of Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US. Our antitrust secondment exchange programme offers associates the chance to drive collaboration across markets, practice areas, regions and countries. We aim to build agile teams with the skills, capabilities, and mindset to win and confidently deliver complex mandates with the world's leading businesses.

Our antitrust teams work together to solve global antitrust issues, taking into account the interplay between different practices and rules, and always mindful of the practical implications antitrust issues may have on our clients' business.

Available to our Antitrust associates who would like to take a short-term secondment (six-month maximum) to another office.

Available to associates with an interest in Tech law, with a minimum of two years qualification experience, who would like to take a short-term secondment (six months maximum) to another office.
