In 2016, we held the first Les Rendez-Vous Clifford Chance, our annual intern recruitment event. We welcomed nearly 160 students and young graduates to the Paris office, from a spectrum of different higher-education levels (four+ years after the French Bac). Over 40 attendees were subsequently recruited for internships in the Paris, Casablanca and Luxembourg offices.

At this year's event, students will have the opportunity to meet our lawyers through interviews, one-to-one meetings where they will receive advice on their career path, and also at presentations given by each practice area.

The participants will also have the chance to attend workshops on a variety of different subjects, for example, the skills behind social and professional networking and the art of public speaking.

This enriching day will conclude with an evening cocktail, allowing students and lawyers to come together in a friendly and convivial environment in order to exchange ideas and experiences.

• Take your time
  Applying for the Rendez-Vous requires dedicated time to the task. Fill in the application form carefully, avoid spelling mistakes and check that your CV is up to date. Take the time to write a good motivational letter: we will use the information included in your application as part of the decision process for an invitation to Rendez-Vous!
  
• Be concise
  Do not dedicate too much time in describing the summer job you landed when you were eighteen, unless it has shaped who you are today: try to keep your application as seamless as possible and to highlight the experiences that make you the perfect candidate for the role.
  

• Be unique
  Personalise your application as much as possible. Tell us why you are interested in Clifford Chance and why you would make the perfect intern. Let us know about your passions, your interests, your hopes : we are not looking for the perfect application but rather for a person who could thrive and grow at Clifford Chance.
  
• Be specific
  Do not send a super generic CV and motivational letter that you could have written for every law firm on the market. Do your research, tell us why a specific team interests you and how could this be beneficial for your career.
