Back to profiles

I started my career at Clifford Chance in the firm's London office as a trainee in 2003 and it has been a rewarding journey so far. I currently lead the Legal Support Centre (LSC) team in India and really enjoy my role. The LSC has been at the forefront of the firm's innovation initiative, having been established in 2007, and continues to make a positive contribution to the firm.

Innovation is incredibly important in our fast-changing, high-tech world and I am proud to be part of the global innovation team working closely with the firm's lawyers and business professional teams to enhance efficiencies.

The firm's global reach means interacting with colleagues from different countries and cultures. Having worked in the London, Singapore and Delhi office, I appreciate the firm's focus on Diversity and Inclusion, the opportunities to gain different perspectives and collaborate as one team working to achieve a common purpose.

What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy leading a team of enthusiastic and talented professionals who provide support to lawyers across the Clifford Chance network. I find it very rewarding to collaborate with smart, like-minded colleagues across the world to transform the delivery of legal services knowing that we are making an impactful contribution to the business.

How has your role developed over the years?
At Clifford Chance, I have been fortunate to work in different areas of the global network, gaining exposure in a variety of interesting roles. I started as a trainee and worked in the firm's London and Singapore offices, which provided an excellent foundation for my career, before becoming a Senior Associate in the London Banking group. During my time as a practicing lawyer, I had the unique opportunity to work at a leading investment bank in London on a client secondment.

My most rewarding experience
I lead the CSR committee which enables me to make a positive impact on our local communities and work with colleagues who are passionate about social change.

Recently, a few colleagues and I visited the school campus of an inspirational NGO that provides free education, job opportunities, healthcare, and livelihood enhancement for girls from marginalised sections of society, enabling them to break out of the cycle of poverty.

Being the mother of a young girl myself, I was extremely impressed by the NGO's ethos and desire for their students to have aspirational careers and look forward to collaborating with the school to help some of the girls realise their dream of studying law.

What do you notice and value most about the people?
Almost every single person I have worked with in the firm is doing their best to make a positive impact through their role. I value the relationships that I have built with many colleagues over the years. It's always exciting to work on new initiatives and the team's enthusiasm and commitment to their work and the business stands out consistently.
