“What I love most about my work is that in every single case, I face a new intellectual challenge”

I am currently the youngest member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice area of Clifford Chance, Barcelona. We specialise in intellectual property law and are one of the leaders in this field in Spain, having received numerous awards and recognitions.

We deal with a wide range of matters involving intellectual property disputes, particularly cases involving patent litigation, including applications for preliminary injunctions and cross-jurisdictional cases. Of course, we also represent clients in matters involving more general commercial disputes.

What I love most about my work is that in every single case, I face a new intellectual challenge. Overcoming all the different constraints and obstacles that one faces within a new case requires a lot of hard work, but ultimately it makes my job both rewarding and motivating.

In addition, the firm allows you a considerable degree of responsibility from your first day. For example, I worked alongside an associate lawyer in a case before the Spanish Supreme Court just six months after joining the firm!

From my work in such a prestigious team I have not only acquired legal knowledge and technical experience, but I have learnt the attention to detail and accuracy that characterises the way we work at Clifford Chance, and all of this in a fantastic working atmosphere.

In addition, the Clifford Chance Academy organises courses for lawyers that provide us with the opportunity to travel to other cities, meet with colleagues from different offices and strengthen our skills. During the early years of our career, these courses are focused on areas such professional standards and risk management, legal writing in English, personal impact and effectiveness when communicating and planning our future career.
