Luxembourg Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Our local Diversity and Inclusion Committee, which is composed of business professionals and legal staff, promotes an inclusive working environment in our Luxembourg office, encourages people to be themselves, contributes to the wellbeing of our people and our ability to produce the best results as a team.


 

The committee is actively engaged in supporting multiple initiatives and goals including: raising awareness and communication about the importance of diversity & inclusion; establishing a network of individuals called Inclusion Advocates who you can turn to for an informal and confidential discussion around appropriate and inclusive behaviour; organising diversity and inclusions events and networking; mentoring and training programs; and wellbeing or work-life balance.

Accelerate>>>

We are part of the Clifford Chance global gender parity group, Accelerate>>>, which is committed to taking bold actions to accelerate the pace of change towards gender parity and driving forward an inclusive and diverse culture and supporting the career development of women at all levels. It's about all of us contributing to a culture where everybody has the opportunity to succeed. Recently, we have been organising bi-monthly virtual breakfast events for our Luxembourg office where we speak to colleagues from a range of different practice areas and business services and alumni, asking them about their remote working setups, what they are doing to maintain their mental health and wellbeing while working remotely, how they have been staying in touch with colleagues and whether there has been any gendered impact of home-based work on the capability to balance work with non-work.
 

REACH

Across our global network we have a range of committees focussing on ethnicity, culture, race and heritage that reflects the wide variety of peoples who make up our firm. The Clifford Chance REACH (Race Equality and Celebrating Heritage) Network is the firm’s network for advancing race equality and celebrating heritage. In doing so, we aim to increase the understanding of the value of our cultural differences and achieve equality of opportunity for all so that at all levels, the firm will reflect the cultural diversity of its employees.

ARCUS

Our global LGBT+ network, Arcus, is represented across our offices, including Luxembourg. The purpose of the network is to foster an inclusive and integrated culture that gives colleagues the choice to be open and out, with a strong belief that this that allows everyone to develop to their maximum potential. 

Virtual Pride

Pride Month, celebrated globally every June looks very different in 2021. For our LGBT+ and Allies communities, major celebrations of inclusion like Pride marches, community events, and our very own Arcus Pride Art events have been postponed or cancelled. At Clifford Chance, we are still committed to celebrating and championing LGBT+ inclusion with #VirtualPride. View our Virtual Pride Art Gallery.

Fitness

Having a sports facility within our building offers you the possibility to take a break from work and offers you a healthy work/life balance. Want to start yoga or fitness classes? We offer these free of charge during your lunchtimes, and full use of the gym during the week.
