Together We Are...One Firm

We are teaming up with several of our offices across the UK, Europe and the US to bring to you this free, virtual, event showcasing the collaborative nature of our Firm. You'll have the opportunity to hear from lawyers across multiple jurisdictions, talking about their involvement in one of our biggest cross-jurisdictional deals to date. There will also be chance to hear about the scale and breadth of our pro bono work headed up by Tom Dunn, with lawyers from across Europe who will provide a good insight into the range of work we're currently involved in that focuses on issues such as LGBT+ rights, war crimes, human rights and children's rights.

Following the panel discussion, you can join a networking booth with the speakers and ask them any questions about their presentations and you'll also have the chance to network with the HR teams and some representatives from your region. This is an unmissable event for anyone who wants to understand what working at a truly global law firm can look like and is interested in finding out more about the opportunities available.

Environmental, Social and Governance Event continued....

We recently hosted a fascinating ESG focused event in partnership with Legal Cheek, where lawyers from across the Firm shared their insights in to how environmental, social and governance issues are transforming the world of business. We had so many phenomenal questions but we did not have time to get through them all.  We are running a follow-up session featuring the same panel that participated in the first event, who will be answering many of the questions we missed. #WeThe15: Being disabled in the workplace and the value found in difference

We are partnering with Legal Cheek  for a virtual student event exploring how to support colleagues with a disability, long term injury or condition to ensure a safe, inclusive, and open workplace where everyone can thrive. The definition of disability is wide and includes mental health conditions and people who are neurodivergent. In this event we will also discuss managing learning difficulties in the workplace, such as dyslexia and dyspraxia.

We’ll be joined by our Global Director of Inclusion, Tiernan Brady, for a panel discussion with the firm’s disability network champions to discuss the firm’s recent involvement in the #WeThe15 campaign, career progression and workplace support at the firm and mental health and resilience in the face of adversity. The panel will close with an awe-inspiring keynote with Lauren Rowles (MBE), Paralympic gold medallist and motivational speaker.

This will be followed by networking in the following breakout rooms with our lawyers, future trainees and Enable representatives who will speak to you about their experiences of managing mental health and disability in the early phases of their career. Graduate Recruitment will also be available to answer your questions.

• Mental health support in the workplace
• Disclosing and talking about disability
• Application and workplace adjustments
• Imposter syndrome and confidence

The virtual event is free and open to all. Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the panel.
