I joined Clifford Chance six months ago as Marketing & Communications Executive. Before joining the firm I worked in the Communications & Marketing team of Magneti Marelli for three years, coordinating marketing and event organisation projects. Previously I worked in marketing, internal communications and media relations in companies in the banking and insurance sector.
I chose Clifford Chance, in part, because of its organisational structure and size. I was looking to develop professionally and diversify my work which are often difficult to achieve in a multinational with thousands of employees. I liked the idea of finding an organisational structure shaped by the same considerations that I was used to but was at the same time leaner and more flexible.
My favourite experience at Clifford Chance so far...
An extremely rewarding experience was organising the inaugural event for Broletto16 (our new Milan office) for clients. The preparatory phase took many weeks of hard work, but the positive feedback at the end was a source of great satisfaction.
I was expecting a very formal, rigid and somewhat "old style" environment. In reality, even though the standard of work is very high, the relationships created are informal and personal. Additionally, the move to the new office has brought a breath of freshness and innovation that has had positive effects on relationships between colleagues.

What makes the firm stand out is excellence and professionalism. Coming from outside the sector I had looked for information on the firm to get an idea of what it was like. I consistently found information about the high level of expertise and standing of all its team. Now that I have direct experience, I can only echo this.
