Junior Lawyer ("advokátní koncipient")

Aimed at 
Law graduates at a Czech or Slovak law faculty.

The structure
As a junior lawyer, you will join one of our main practice areas in Banking & Finance, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Corporate/Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate or Slovak Desk.

All new joiners undergo an induction programme, including an introduction to our systems and presentations from our department heads. You will be allocated one of our lawyers, who will act as your mentor and be responsible for your performance and overall professional development (mentors act as the first point of contact for each junior lawyer).

Requirements
In order to apply for this opportunity, you should have an outstanding academic record. To us, this means holding a Czech or Slovak law degree and having an excellent command of English (both written and spoken).

You should also have an interest in commercial, financial or real estate law. You should be a team player who is not afraid to work hard.

Application process

• Stage 1 - Apply online by sending us your CV and cover letter.
• Stage 2 - Interview primarily in Czech and a practical part consisting of a case study (texts of the relevant codes "UZ", will be provided) and 40 mins online test of working potential.
• Stage 3 - Following the successful results from practical part and 1st interview, we will invite you for 2nd interview with our senior lawyers and/or partners.
• Stage 4 - We will do our best to contact you as soon as possible with our final decision.

Paralegal ("právní asistent")

Aimed at
Third, fourth or fifth year students at a Czech or Slovak law faculty.

The structure
As a paralegal, you'll have real responsibility, supporting lawyers in one of our major departments, either Banking & Finance, Corporate, Real Estate or the Slovak desk.

The standard contract starts at 6 months with the possibility of an extension. We prefer long-term cooperation, however if a student prefers a shorter experience, we are able to provide 3-month internships. The working time options are between 24-40 hours per week. We are fully aware of your study obligations, so we are ready to flexibly adjust your working hours if your study schedule changes or you need to prepare for exams.

This role will predominantly involve carrying out research, preparing drafts of simple or template-based documents, working on due diligence and communicating with the authorities.

Requirements
In order to apply for this opportunity you should have a solid knowledge of English and interest to learn by practise. You should also be a team player. Involvement in extra curriculum activities such moots or previous working experience from law firm is considered to be advantage not a must.
