The Clifford Chance Middle East Knowledge & Information (K&I) team comprises of lawyers with experience of legal practice in both the UAE and abroad who develop knowledge resources (including templates, practice guides, know-how and client briefings) and manage the knowledge function across offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The team also helps fee-earners keep up to date with key legal developments and local market issues, and with their own professional development through a comprehensive local law legal training programme.
In addition, the team provides support to lawyers in the associated office of Abuhimed Alsheikh Alhagbani Law Firm (AS&H) in Saudi Arabia.
The Middle East Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) team works with key internal and external stakeholders across the four regional offices. The team is fully integrated with the other BD&M teams across the Clifford Chance network. Its focus is helping our lawyers get closer to our clients through market research, business development planning, client acquisition and retention strategies, performance analysis, reputation-building activities, infrastructure development and management, and promoting the region both locally and globally.
The HR team works closely with the Partners and senior management team to deliver the full spectrum of HR activities across the region. These include resourcing, reward, learning and development, employee relations and operational processes.
The Middle East Finance team manages a variety of activities focused around the monthly production of management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, working capital management, preparation/review of statutory accounts filing requirements, and internal and external audits.
We have a team of Office Assistants, Receptionists, Drivers and Legal Support Secretaries who provide assistance to the business professionals and legal teams. Legal Support Secretaries will often work with an allocation of five lawyers and partners and assist in a number of activities including Client Support, Team Support, Document Management/Production, Administrative Support, Financial Support (including generating monthly bills) and Diary/Meeting Management.
This team is responsible for managing the IT infrastructure in all Middle East offices. This includes PC hardware and software, printers and MFDs, telephony, IT training, IT support, security access systems, meeting room technology and ad hoc IT requests.
