Our virtual offering will give you unparalleled access to our people and work.

With so many virtual events these days, you could be forgiven for thinking they’re all the same. But they’re not. We will be hosting up to 50 cutting-edge virtual events. Events that have been carefully designed to give you insight into our people, our work and our culture in a way that was never before possible.

You’ll have access to a mix of panels, keynotes, skills sessions, interactive case studies and global legal professionals. All of which will equip you with the skills, knowledge and networks to succeed, no matter which career you choose. 

This is a massive new initiative for us, and a necessary one. We want nothing less than to democratise access to information and opportunities, which is exactly what our virtual events are striving to do.

They’re not even like any event we’ve done in the past. They’re radically different in that the entire experience is based around you, giving you choice over what content you engage with and when.

Please note, registration for each event will close 2 working days before the event. You will be notified approximately 24 hours prior to the event if you have secured a place and you will then be sent joining instructions.

Black History Month Events

We will be hosting a series of events over the course of Black History Month focusing on thriving through uncertainty. 2020 has been a tumultuous year, and one that has had a big impact on the black community – from black people being more at risk of suffering adverse effects of Covid-19, to the events that sparked the heightening of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Through the lens of these events, we will be considering how to navigate through these uncertain times, to be activists, and to bring about improvements to the workplace and our society. Speakers from a range of professional backgrounds will present on how they have approached various challenges, and the role that they play in advocating for what they believe in.

ACCEPT

ACCEPT is our groundbreaking one-day conference that provides an opportunity for LGBT+ students interested in a career in law, to hear from senior role models and understand how your sexuality can complement your career. Hear from past ACCEPT attendees about why they think its important to be part of this inspiring student conference.

In collaboration with myGwork and National Student Pride, we're delighted to offer a thought-provoking and uplifting agenda which will include panel discussions, guest speakers and the opportunity to meet other like-minded LGBT+ students. 

You will:  

  • Develop your understanding of what it’s like to be LGBT+ in the city
  • Hear from inspiring senior figures about their personal journeys
  • Take part in discussions on topical issues for the LGBT+ community including Bi-erasure and intersectionality
  • Build your network with a variety of LGBT+ staff at Clifford Chance
  • Learn more about how you could become the next TargetJobs LGBT+ Undergraduate of the Year

We particularly welcome applications from those who represent the wider diversity of genders, ethnicities and sexualities.

INTERFACE

INTERFACE is our flagship event for students studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) degrees. This event will provide an opportunity to understand the ways in which a STEM degree can lay the foundations for a successful career as a lawyer, feature key notes speeches from two leading thinkers on matters of AI, data, and privacy, and give you an insight into our IGNITE Training Contract. Through a varied line-up of sessions, attendees can hear from:

  • Dr Hannah Fry, who will be presenting ideas from her book 'How to be Human in the Age of the Machine'
  • Dr Carissa Véliz, who will be presenting ideas from her book 'Privacy is Power: Why and How You Should Take Back Control of Your Data'
  • Clifford Chance lawyers with STEM degrees, on why they decided to become lawyers 
  • Graduate recruitment and trainees on how to secure a Training Contract as a STEM student
